I have no idea what time it is there, so I thought I'd better get in my salutations while there still may be time... Happy Birthday Anna-Marie!! Hope you have a wonderful day and get feted in the manner to which you are accustomed.

I'm not even sure what DAY it is there, but I'll toss in a 'happy birthday' too!

Her birthday started with coffee in bed (every day begins this way—which sounds marvelous until I point out this is at 6:00am—the time the neighourhood gets up). Then she had about 4.5 hours at a local spa (mani and pedi, facial, 90 massage). In the afternoon there was Cambodian cake and a few gifts at the house with the staff and friends. I ordered the cake the day before and avoided the taller whiting look. Like in Cuba, it seems impossible to put too much icing on a cake. Oddly, most of them looked like they had snow men (people) on them. It turned out to be quite tasty on the inside, chocolate and coconut.

spa and cake sounds real nice. 6 am, not so much. like the image of snowmen in cambodia too, even if they are merely edible treats. glad it was a good day...good boyfriend, Carl, good boyfriend!
